Ask.com delivers the best quality traffic from all Search Engines

Being a webmaster I am big fan of Google but can not help being impressed by Ask.com new search interface with preview screen shots, video and Wiki results and all of these are embedded into the results. But it is not just the interface I like. I had medical issue that I could not find an answer for on Google so I thought I would enter it in vain on Ask but found plenty of information. Because of this reason more and more people are making the switch or using ASK as their second engine.

As a webmaster we really should be paying attention because according to my statistics the traffic quality is allot better. For example the Bounce Rate of 46.07% compared with Google's 75.06% was very impressive. The Bounce Rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page). The other search engines showed a similar story with Yahoo 72.66%, AOL 73.50%, MSN 71.71%. It was not just the Bounce rate as the average visitor time was 50% higher on ASK and the average page views are at 2.8 compared with 1.8.

I always like to rationalise my thinking and though I stand by the above I do have to stress that Ask do like showing homePages in the results more than the relevant page and this could discredit some of the findings. Through affiliate marketing there is strong evidence than Google is one of the weakest engines for conversions and ASK and MSN one of the highest.
